My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is the smartphone. My first Smartphone was in my teens, and I use it for many functions, such as calling, sending and receiving messages, taking pictures, using applications, watching videos, movies, listening to music, and taking information from the Internet, which is very useful for study and do homework. the frequency with which I use it is, every day, several times a day since I have a lot of information on the cell phone that I need for the university, and so I can also be communicated with my classmates, friends, family, etc.

 I really like this device because it is multifunctional, from the cell phone you can do almost the same things that are done on a computer and television, so if I need to write a document, be it Word, power point, or send an email, it is not necessary to wait to reach my house or university and write a document, but I can do it through my cell phone while I'm anywhere, also if I want to watch a series or movie I do not have to look for a place that has a TV, since I only access pages of Internet and I can see them, also if I want to take a good photo, I do not necessarily have to buy a camera, but just take the phone and take it, which is very useful when I can not I photocopy a document at the moment, but I take a photograph and I have already saved the information, in the same way if I need to know the time or wake up in time, or calculate the time, draw calculations, it is not necessary to buy a clock, alarm, timer or calculator, since the cell phone has all these functions, and if you do not have it, there is the option to download applications with other functions, in short, when you have a Smartphone we have a device that gives us many functions that makes it indispensable . If these devices were not there, life would be less easy and comfortable, since other devices would have to be purchased that have each of the functions that the cell phone has separately.

What I decided to study

When i was 15, i wanted to be cientific, i dont knew exactly what tipe of proffessional i want be, but how in the high school i liked soo much the chemistry and biology i thought in study something which  will includes both subjetc of the science.

When I was short of time for that finished the high school, begin to research the careers that more adapt to my like for the chemistry and biology , so i discovered careers interesting how, marine biology, biochemistry, medic tecnology and chemistry and pharmacy.
I decided finally the career the chemistry and pharmacy, because includes in the curriculum all my academic and vocational requirements that i wish for my future, also i knew a girl that  is pharmaceutical chemist and she tell me every about the profession, and
this motivated me a lot for too chose this career.
When i enter in the university i was soo happy and i had many expectations, i wanted experiment with chemicals and learn a lot. I had a hard time adapting to the university level and I had a lot of stress and frustration because I was not doing very well academically, but I met very nice people who helped me to make this stage not so difficult.
When I graduate from university I would like to work in a pharmaceutical industry because I find it very interesting  the procedure of making a medicament.

Some things about me

Hello my name is ruth carrasco I am 18 years old, I lived all my life in a small town in the south of Chile called Renaico.

I studied my last years of school at the high school enrique ballacey of Angol. I am the youngest of three brothers, a year ago I left home to come to Santiago to study chemistry and pharmacy at the University of Chile. I like Santiago and I like the people I met in the last year but I miss my family, friends, nature and tranquility of my town.
In my free time I like to go out and get to know the city on all the places with lots of trees and happy people, I have fun and I feel good when I go running to the park, I like to visit my cousins, go to the movies, read and watch series scientific. My favorite series is CSI.
